Love Will Prevail

Will the Earth survive
these catastrophic events?
Love, life will prevail
My technique for this quilt was, first, burn holes in your fabric...LOL I explained the story in the yahoo group. The 'holes' are filled with pieces from a silk tie, fused around the ragged edges. I used some aurora boriallis foil to add to the oil slick. It measures 13"x26"

You are great at making lemonade out of extra lemons! This is so thought-provoking and nicely done. Very creative.

Cherie - relative simplicity with great effect! You've communicated the idea of something beautiful being besmirched by something foul so well!

Cherie,
I love your "oil spill"! Sometimes our mistakes turn into such wonderful opportunities. I also like the optimistic conclusion in your haiku.

Cherie, I think your piece is lovely, despite its somewhat unfortunate origins. I'm wanting to try new things here, but I don't think I'm quite ready to set my fabric on fire. LOL

Did you write your haiku on the quilt or did you stitch it?

Martha, Not ready for fire huh? LOL
I stitched the haiku...and I need ALOT more practice doing that!
