summer breezes

soft summer breezes

filling sails with wonderment.

Natures gentle gift

In creating this small quilt - 16x20" - I used piecing, applique, painting with shivas, foiling, and thread painting on the trees. I'm not happy with the boy on the raft but I guess practice clues one in on what to try next time. Maybe someday I will get it right. The propt word was great. It certainly conjured up any pictures. Thank you.

This is such a relaxing scene... breezes softly causing the vessel to drift, peacefully. Well done Pat... and lots of techniques! I think your boy is just fine... we know he is a young fisherman! that is 'art'...

The clouds are lovely and soft, along with the colors which you chose. The threadpainted trees look really good. Where did you use the candy wrappers? Yes, doesn't nature offer the most wonderful gifts?

I love your boy -very Huck Finn feeling. And I really wish I could see your thread painted trees up close and personal. They look marvelous. Your haiku evokes a great feel of a soft summer day carried out so effectively by your artwork.
