A Soft Day In Ireland

The Irish are used to a lot of rain.  Sometimes it rains hard; sometimes it's more like a misty blanket covering the earth.  They call this a "soft day".

I really like your haiku, I can just envision the day through your words. How ingenious to utilize the lace as rain/clouds and the netting evokes the layer of rain well. Great job!

I really like how you portrayed the mist. Perfect! The sense of shroud and soft rain... yes a 'soft day'... I relate... those are my favorite days.
Well done!

I've never thought of gray, misty days as being 'soft', but they are indeed! I really love your portrayal of rain using the tulle. So very effective. Lovely haiku as well
