Sunflower 1
Like sunshine distilled
The sunflowers nod their heads
Dancing in the wind
The image of a sunflower popped into my head when I heard this month's challenge word. A step-by-step description of the process is on my personal blog.

Thank you for pointing us to your personal blog for the 'working' details.. it is lovely and I think you had fun with this! I love the ruching technique... haven't used it in years [I forgot about it] but it sure adds nice texture. Delicate yellows... so like 'sunshine'..

Very pretty! Sunflowers always make me think of a special friend.
I loved reading your blog. This is really the quintessential 'sunshine' image, isn't it. Lovely piece and haiku...

It looks like it grows out of the background.
Nice use of ruching. I remember liking it but not wanting to pursue it:)
I think your ruching technique in the sunflower center adds great depth to your piece. I like it, Michele!
